America calls us a failing society after one riot. Then the world takes a close look at our cousins below, and just lols in comparison. Anyway, it just shows how passionate Canadians (Vancouver fans generally since they wanted the cup so bad) are towards hockey; sure it was dumb for the riot to take place, but hey what else are we to riot about seeing how great Canada is in the first place ? ...though, I do wonder how skrilla was when he heard about the game.

yea cause european soccer fans are so much more hard core
the big leagues in europe dont really have that violent of a following (i didn't read about riots when Man U lost to Barca in the CL final)
Greece, Mexico and South American soccer clubs are the ones that seem to be violent. Note: putting their fans in cages

Eurm kittens, in Scotland rival fans KILL each other....
Europe has some of the WORST sporting related violence in the world.
Your statement really made me smile though!

Greece is not part of Europe?
The major European leagues work hard to keep it under wraps, even in the EPL they will sometimes structure it so that the fans of each team are kept separate from each other when they leave. But you're certainly right in that it's not restricted to Europe

watch green stree hooligan's, and if your passionate over a sport I understand, look what happens when philly win's something, the entire city explodes, when boston won the world series early on this millennium I saw 6 year olds walking around with beer bottles, you can stereotype someone who is so passionate and then is let down and is feeling pissed off and angry, you get a few thousand people like that together theres going to be a riot it's simple psychology.
