the Mayan calendar stops at december 12, 2012. some believe they predicted the apocolypse was coming and that all the recent earthquakes tremors, dead animal are part of the 7 signs of the apocolypse.

and the more logical side of people believe that the Mayans had to stop somewhere, and thats where it was.

some of use guys may want to refer to the book of revelations in the good book, the new testament, it also mentions how Michael and his angels fought against the great dragon and Satan and his angels were cast out of paradise. Not to get religious, but it brings me reassurance, yes the Mayan calendar is the correct reference, I too believe they had to stop somewhere Nostradamus predicted it to be the beginning of change, refer to the good book I mentioned and it all pieces together, there is a book series called left behind about it, worth a read very good read even if you are not religious.
