Try using a mouse with the pads worn right down, it's like trying to move a brick across grass!
Need help in sorting net settings or something for 1.0. I can't hit a thing and my aim isn't that bad :E

think you contradicted yourself there. if theyre "obsessed with a game/games and is willing to do whatever it takes to play/beat others" then theyre probably gonna buy some decent hardware to give themselves a slight advantage.

I can't hit a thing and my aim isn't that bad :E The usual suspects apply, rate 25000, cl_maxpackets 100 (maybe even 125 for the non pb servers). Keep in mind that s4ndmod typically has g_speed 352 (value I get from s4ndmods speedometer). Also basically every deathmatch server I've played on has horrible hit registry. The best hit rego is on the s4ndmod hosting servers (the hit rego on the bots is simply amazing, while the hit rego on other players is also quite ok). lack of cvar restrictions doesn't help hit rego either since anyone can tweak the shit out of their net settings to make themselves very hard to hit I guarantee that you will at some point attempt an easy prefire kill that strangely leaves you wondering how you could possibly get no hits, while the other player seemed to have no trouble raging your elbow

Good post, thats exactly what I've been facing at the moment... not sure if it's the shitty internet at home or whatever, nevertheless I'll be hooking up to my fibre optic soon. I changed from 1800 dpi to 450 dpi on my mouse so there a lot to get used it.
Thanks for the help nosy, perhaps I should use one of the shitty configs as well

From 1.0 / 1.2 to 3.0, it feels totally shit but at this resolution I need lower DPI otherwise I get negative acceleration.

I changed from 1800 dpi to 450 dpi on my mouse so there a lot to get used it. Thanks for the help nosy, perhaps I should use one of the shitty configs as well keep this in mind if you want the same cm/180 turn when changing dpi. Only works if you don't use mouse acceleration (which from previous posts of yours in bad forum i'm pretty confident you don't, it's a much more complicated formula if you do though) [(current dpi)*(in-game sensitivity)] / (new dpi) = (new in-game sensitivity) I prefer 450 dpi to 1800 dpi, I find that using 1800dpi with the sensitivity matched up with the above formula makes it feel like I'm using m_filter 1 (slightly delayed movements but supposed to be smoother). I've noticed that in faster games especially, top players overwhelmingly use lower dpi, but for slower games you get alot more variety wolfy - you really didn't need to add "wolf" in that sentence at all, and I know what I mean ps. Assuming you have: - sensitivity 1.8 - dpi 400 - windows mouse slider notch 6/11 - m_yaw 0.022 - windows mouse accel off (very much doubt you use linux or mac ) - no mouse drivers installed (except ofcourse the default windows ones) - enhanced pointer precision off - cl_mouseaccel 0 Then your sensitivity works out to be ~11.36 inches/180 degrees (just under 29cm/180 for those that don't know the conversion). You'd need to move your arm a looooooooong way to do anything

ban this gook.
180 degrees in 29 centimetres isnt that bad, but probably considered lowish sens.
