a handle generally refers to the size of a bottle of liquor.
one handle is 1.75 liters or approximately a half gallon.
the reason that kids call it a handle is because Smirnoff's half gallon bottle has a handle on it, where the rest of its bottles do not. the reason it is based of Smirnoff is because kids love Smirnoff.

so is 1.75L a standard size over there?
our standard is 700ml though you can get litre ones in every shop and prob larger ones in some shops.

Example "man I totally killed that handle last night, i was so wasted" ... my favorite is the 1/5th bottle. a fifth is 750 mL. I like it because I like mixed drinks and plus it fits in the freezer better. That is usually standard tbh.

1/5th of a bottle = 750 ml x 5 = 3.75L

1/5th of a bottle = 750 ml x 5 = 3.75L the size is called a fifth. it's not actually a fifth of the bottle itself.

lol
A "fifth" of liquor has 750 ml which equals 25.36 oz, which is roughly 1/5 of a gallon (128 oz).
